Lanzarote als die trockenste der kanarischen Inseln ist seit Anfang der 90er Jahre UNESCO Biosphärenreservat. Lediglich in Haria gibt es viele Palmen.

Der Weg selbst ist gut markiert, auch wenn die Schrift auf den Metallschildern nicht mehr zu lesen ist, wird auf jeden Fall die Richtung angezeigt. Aufgrund der hohen Luftfeuchtigkeit in der Nacht haben wir auf ein Zelt verzichtet und sind mit dem gut ausgebauten Bussystem (Intercity) zum Start- und Endpunkt.
